Nikola Tohma participated at the 2023 Conference of the Society for History of Children and Youth (SHCY) at Guelph University, Canada (8-10 June 2023). She presented her paper titled Children’s Homes as Refugee Spaces: Child Refugees and Institutional Care in Socialist Czechoslovakia.
Together with Swen Steinberg and Joy Damousi, she joined the panel on the Transnationalization of Care: Humanitarian Child Relief in Central and Southeastern Europe and the Global South II, chaired by Friederike Kind-Kovács.
